Fender distinguished the 1994 American Standard with a special enamel 40th Anniversary badge on the headstock and an engraved anniversary neck plate, giving it some additional interest while retaining the contemporary specification of the highly regarded American Standard series.
The alder body is paired with a maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, offering the comfortable, familiar feel for which these 1990s American Standards are known. Its modern fingerboard radius and medium-jumbo frets make it particularly easy to play, while the two-point tremolo and sealed Fender tuners provide stable performance.
Three American Standard single coil pickups deliver the unmistakable range of Strat sounds, from clear and rounded neck tones through to the familiar hollow character of the in-between positions and the bright, articulate response of the bridge pickup. The TBX tone circuit adds further versatility, allowing the middle and bridge pickups to move from warmer traditional tones to a more open and cutting response.
Overall condition is about as close to mint as could reasonably be expected. It shows minimal evidence of use and has clearly been exceptionally carefully kept and is in exceptionally clean collector grade condition.
Comes with a Fender tweed hard shell case together with its tags. A superb example of an increasingly appreciated period of American Fender production, combining classic Stratocaster looks, excellent modern playability and the distinctive anniversary appointments unique to 1994.
