Introduced as a straightforward, player focused American made Fender, the American Special series combined traditional styling with a number of contemporary appointments. This Telecaster features an alder body with a gloss urethane finish, together with a Modern “C” profile maple neck, 9.5" fingerboard radius and 22 jumbo frets.
A pair of Texas Special Telecaster pickups provides the guitar with plenty of classic Tele clarity and bite, but with a slightly hotter response than usual. The bridge pickup delivers the expected twang and definition, while the neck pickup offers a warmer, woodier voice. Fender’s Greasebucket tone circuit allows the high frequencies to be rolled back without adding excessive bass, making the guitar particularly easy to dial in across a wide range of styles.
Completing the specification is a traditional three saddle, strings through body, Telecaster bridge with brass saddles, helping to retain the lively attack, resonance and unmistakable character for which Tele's are known.
This example is presented in excellent overall condition, showing only light playwear. There are a couple of small, shallow indentations to the finish along the upper rear edge of the body, but no chips or other notable dings. Overall, it has been carefully looked after and remains a very clean example.
Comes with a Fender hard shell case. A superb American made Telecaster with an excellent specification, classic looks and bags of Tele tone.
