This one is all original and in excellent condition overall, showing only light signs of age. Crucially, it retains its original circuit and BC108C transistors – the high-gain, low-noise silicon variant that helped define the sharper, more aggressive tones of the early ‘70s fuzz era. The only thing missing is the set of rubber feet, long since lost to time – but otherwise, it's clean, complete, and totally unmessed with.
Sonically, this one delivers exactly what you'd hope: rich, saturated fuzz that holds together beautifully, with the BC108Cs offering more clarity and edge than the earlier germanium-loaded versions. It’s gloriously dynamic too – back off your guitar’s volume and you’re into crunchy, glassy overdrive; dime it and it roars into thick, singing fuzz with that unmistakable midrange snarl. It’s a joy to play and takes particularly well to single coils, though humbuckers will love it too.
Controls are smooth and responsive, with a wide sweep on both Volume and Fuzz. Whether you're chasing Gilmour’s soaring leads or Hendrix’s ripping saturation, this pedal delivers vintage tone in spades, with just the right amount of grit and bite.
A fantastic, collector-grade example of a true fuzz classic – original, clean, and loaded with the right transistors.
