The roasted alder body is finished in Blue Sparkle, a seldom seen colour that gives the guitar a particularly vibrant and unique appearance. Fender’s Closet Classic treatment adds fine lacquer checking and subtle ageing, creating the impression of an instrument that has been carefully preserved rather than extensively played.
The AAA flame roasted maple neck displays some superb figuring. Its ’56 V profile provides a reassuringly substantial feel in the hand, while the modern 9.5" fingerboard radius offers easier note bending playability than the traditional 7.25" radius
A set of handwound Fat ’60s Stratocaster pickups delivers a full and expressive interpretation of the classic Strat sound, with plenty of clarity, sparkle and harmonic detail. Modern Stratocaster wiring incorporates a five way selector, while the lower tone control operates the bridge pickup - a very useful arrangement that allows its natural brightness to be shaped as required.
The guitar is in unplayed mint condition, allowing for the intentional factory applied Closet Classic ageing. It comes complete with the original Fender Custom Shop tweed hard shell case, Certificate of Authenticity, Floor Traveller and all of the original case candy.
